



El Festival del Yogur (Shoton) es el más importante del verano y celebra el fin del retiro estival de los monjes. Es un gran momento para viajar a la capital del Tíbet durante el masivo despliegue del Gran Buda en el Monasterio de Drepung y también disfrutar del intenso ambiente festivo en el Palacio de Verano del Dalái Lama –Norbulingka– entre actuaciones de las tradicionales óperas tibetanas y multitud de familias haciendo picnic.

Once you have cleared all security checks and collected your luggage, leave the terminal and head to the gate where we will be waiting for you. If you are traveling with more people, stay together as you will need to show your permits before you can leave.
TRANSFER TO LHASA - 65KM, 1-2H, 3650M
After the welcome, transfer to the hotel and a brief briefing on your trip plan. A home-cooked, traditional Tibetan dinner and a massage session will be offered (please book in advance). The rest of the day is free. On the first day, it is always advisable to rest and avoid exertion. Lhasa is at an altitude of 3,650 meters, so oxygen levels are much lower than what you are usually accustomed to. Although there is no way to eliminate the risk of altitude sickness while in Tibet, its effects can be drastically reduced by taking the necessary t ime to acclimatize properly and by following a series of guidelines that we will inform you about before beginning your trip.
